Oh, I am not! I am very confident with my hands. But there is beauty in knowing plants so well to know when to treat them differently. Just as there is in knowing how much of an ingredient is too much.
Oh, of course. There's nothing more important than safeguarding the wellbeing of our respective students, is there?
It'd be a great disservice to the spirit of our benevolent Sea Witch if I didn't take my responsibility in this area as Housewarden quite seriously. Every member of Octavinelle knows that I'm always available to help them whenever they need it.
I'm also proud of how diligent they are in upholding the dorm's reputation all on their own.
[ Blackmail and the threat of squeezing combined really work wonders to promote good behavior without Azul having to lift a finger most of the time. ]
I don't think anyone is above mistakes, but I'd rather they be honest and forthwith about any errors in judgment. I don't enable bad behavior, but I'd rather be able to fix things before they spiral out of control.
Of course, there are inevitably missteps that need to be handled from time to time with patience and compassion. I'll intervene if need be to provide motivation and encouragement in upholding the values of Octavinelle and the dorm's reputation. I wouldn't dream of abandoning my students when they require my assistance, after all.
But I suppose I could say preventing problems before they occur is also the method I adhere to, so I simply don't have to act directly much of the time in a disciplinary fashion.
[ Not that Trey ordinarily endorses shortcuts, but-- ]
It's tricky to get right if you're filling the bread with something. If you expel too much air from the bread after it's risen, it won't bake right. And if your filling is too wet, it will make the dough too moist.
What sort of recipe are you using? It may be better to look up a recipe for stromboli, rather than looking up a bread recipe and trying to modify it on the fly.
[ Why does setting foot in another dorm still feel so strange?
Trey should be used to it now, shouldn't he? Upperclassmen -- particularly vice-housewardens -- are no strangers to it. Deliveries and official business aren't uncommon. But perhaps it's the context more than the journey in this case. Baking a pie for Vil feels foolish, and bringing it to Pomefiore seems treasonous. But here he is, pie in hand while he makes his way to the Pomefiore lounge, struggling not to feel as out of place as he looks. ]
[...This guy. How can someone be so aware of baking time as to be able to message exactly two hours after he's declared that he's going to bake something? Not that Vil is exasperated; he's much closer to impressed, especially considering all of this came out of macadamia nuts.
There are no shortage of curious Pomefiore students who spot Trey on his way into the dorm, some enjoying the downtime of the weekend and others experimenting with either etiquette or magic before it gets too late in the day. He might even spot some juniors teaching some freshman how to throw down a glove with a flourish, as was common etiquette for Pomefiore students before engaging in a duel.
The pristine common halls of the dorm are quieter, and the lounge itself empty aside from the Pomefiore housewarden. He greets Trey with a faint smile, wryness quickly tinging its corners as his eyes trail down to the pie.]
I can't say I was expecting you to dedicate part of your day to something like this.

Instructions don't mean much unless you have a capable hand executing them, you know. You shouldn't sell yourself short.

Well, it's better than someone getting hurt. Or doing something that reflects poorly on the dorm.
One of those things is more important than the other, but I'll let you draw your own conclusions.

I've long been interested in encountering such a specimen. Sadly there appears to be a dearth of them among the mountains surrounding the school.

It's much easier with a bread maker, you know.
